Last winter, my sister made my daughter a dress-up box for Christmas. I was so thankful because I had been planning on doing it myself. Instead of adding costumes for, say, a doctor or a construction worker, however, she used mostly clearance Halloween costumes—which was also cool, of course. But my daughter hasn’t shown much interest in them, save for a knight costume she calls her “Viking” costume. Though many kids enjoy dress-up, they all do so differently.
