20 Places Hiring Right Now!
Since January 13th some pretty big companies have been trying to get employees through their doors. Though we have seen many companies shut their doors in a very short period of time, there are still those that are thriving. In the stress and panic of losing a job and wondering if you're going to find another, take a deep breath. Granted, you may not be able to find a job to get you through that's right down the street anymore but there is work to be had. During my search today online I found CNN to be the most resourceful yet again for possible job opportunities.
Companies like Wegmans Foods Market are hiring for nearly all positions needed to run a store. Even in the down turn, they have 3 new stores being built this year. Business is very well and that's good for you. They plan on hiring nearly 2,000 employees during the expansion. Current locations that are hiring include Rochester, NY; Buffalo, NY; and Syracuse, NY. The new stores that will be opening this year will be in Fredericksburg, VA; Collegville, PA; and Leesburg, VA so keep your eyes open for application opportunities since they can possibly arrive long before the stores are finished.
Closer to the west coast, Genentech is looking for an estimated 585 employees to fill empty positions. Genetech is searching for individuals who want to work in commercial, product development, manufacturing, CFO group and their legal department. Currently, the top three locations to get your foot in the door are South San Francisco, CA; Vacaville, CA; and Oceanside, CA. Genentech is considered to be the founder of the biotechnology industry and has been hard at work for over 30 years. Their company is built on solid ground giving prospect employees a sense of job security.
Despite Microsoft making their announcement on January 22 that the company would be letting go of nearly 5,000 employees over the next year and a half, they have also announced that they are still looking for employees. They are offering literally thousands of positions that need to be filled. Microsoft still needs software design engineers, financial analysts, human resources, administrative and marketing and sales talent that know their way around online ad sales. If the possible lay-off factor doesn't scare you, locations in Redmond, WA; Issaquah, WA; and Mountain View, CA are listed as the top 3 locations to apply.
Some other companies that were found on CNN's list were the Mayo Clinic, Whole Foods, Google and even T-Mobile.
